Partnerships

Coastal News Compass considers collaborations that fit its focus on coastlines, coastal understanding, and public-facing learning. Partnerships must be transparent and separate from independent editorial decisions.

Possible collaborations

We consider clearly scoped educational collaborations, commissioned explainers, event or publication notices, and relevant partner placements across the site. A proposal should explain its subject, intended audience, format, timing, and any commercial relationship involved. We may decline work that falls outside the publication's focus or cannot be presented clearly.

Labelling and editorial boundaries

Paid placements and partner-produced material are labelled where readers encounter them. Labels make clear that the content has a commercial or collaborative relationship. Partners may provide factual information about their work, but they do not control independent articles, editorial conclusions, or correction decisions.

How to propose a partnership

Use the Contact page and select the partnership option. Include the proposed format, subject, expected deliverables, and any relevant funding or promotional arrangement. Do not send confidential material or assume that a proposal has been accepted before receiving a reply.
